I have a nearly 5 month old that has slept in his carseat/carrier (same concept) but is about to out grow it. He only sleeps well in it so I am looking in to this. My question is, what age is this product good through. He is already 17 lbs and nearly 27 inches long. Is he too big for this?

I love the Nap Nanny. My 2 month old has been sleeping in it since we brought her home. She has sinus issues and the elevation seems to help her sleep and still breathe well. I also have a 2 year old and wish we would have had this with her. Definitely worth the money!!!!

This is the best purchase we've made since we had our son. He had terrible colic and spits up constantly. With the Nap Nanny, the spitting up has reduced drastically and we haven't had to swaddle him anymore because he is so happy to be sitting up. He no longer has reflux coming out his nose at all hours of the night. He went from waking up every 15 minutes to sleeping for 4 hours straight!

I have been putting our son in the Nap Nanny since he was 6 weeks old. He had severe reflux (projectile vomiting, huge spit-ups). At first, it was a God-send. He just slept so much better and went to sleep so easily. But now, he is 6 months old, and he doesn't need it any more. It has become impossible to put him down in the crib without it. He is absolutely attached to it. So, while I know it helped with the reflux, now I wish I had never used it. I know now that whenever I am ready to lose a few nights' sleep, I will just have to wean him from it. But I know it will be hard. He is so traumatized when we don't use it and it takes about 1/2 hour to an hour to calm him down after we try putting him down without it. I would recommend using a wedge under the mattress before you try the Nap Nanny.

My 4 month old son has amongst the worst reflux the upper G.I. testers had ever seen. The speech pathologist who was part of the test said that parents used to think that putting babies in car seats and bouncers helped, as their upper body was elevated.

It doesn't.

It squishes the tummy up by pulling the knees towards the tummy, thereby pushing the food up the digestive tract - reflux, in other words.

I don't know, I haven't tried it, but in my totally layman's opinion, this device looks to me like it may do the same thing. Just worth a thought?

My daughter loves the nap nanny. It's the only place she will sleep. I have an issue though, she is a very active sleeper and I have often found her lying sideways across the Nap nanny with her head hanging off. I'm not sure what to do about it. It's so unsafe but at the same time the only place she will sleep.

My son was a preemie born at 28 weeks. After bringing him home we discovered he had a severe case of reflux. A nanny told us of the "Nap Nanny", since October of 2009 our son has slept in his Nap Nanny and has done tremendously well. The only concern we have had is his head leaning to one side, since he has Torticolis. We have tried laying him flat in his crib but he just wakes up and cries, so we think he is uncomfortable with his reflux.
Does anyone know or has anyone weaned their child off the Nap Nanny. He is 19#'s now and is starting to outgrow it. We have tried a wedge under his sheet but it's not near the angle as the Nap Nanny.

I have LOVED the nap nanny. It was a gift..before that I had never heard of it. My baby is three months old and only sleeps through the night if she is in her nap nanny. I am concerned though for her back. Has anyone heard if the 30 degree incline is bad on the spine? Too much pressure? I just don't want her little fragile spine to get wacked up this early on in life. Any advice?
