Harvey Karp is known as a doctor who can calm the fussiest babies. If you’ve seen him on TV with a baby, you know what we mean. This is a DVD and CD combo. The DVD runs for 38 minutes and features Dr. Karp answering 25 questions about calming babies, in addition to a Spanish translation and white noise sounds that help relieve your baby from the awful depths of colic. It is NTSC. The CD also features this white noise.
My Review of The Happiest Baby on the Block CD/DVD
My friend told me about this and I found it great for my son when he was whiny and I did not know why. The white noise is the best. I put the CD on my iPod, attached a small speaker to it, and used it when he needed it in the middle of the night (thankfully for me, he did not need it much). The sound is like a low pitched vacuum cleaner which Dr. Karp says is like the sound in utero. This works best for babies 3 months old and younger because older babies forget the sound.
